L-Glutamine is one of the body’s most abundant amino acids. The body require additional dietary source under certain condition such as athletic training or stress. In these conditions, L-Glutamine takes on a critical role in the metabolism of muscular protein, in the volumization of cells, and the reduction of cell catabolism, particularly in stressful or traumatic situations. L-Glutamine was approved by the FDA in July 2017 for use in sickle cell disease.
